three awards ​for the premiere

When the 2015 BroadwayWorld Milwaukee Awards were announced, the biggest winner was the world premiere of A Real Lulu -- the original title of The Outsider. The Wisconsin production received three awards (the most given to any single show): for Best Play, Best Director of a Play (Tom Mula) and Best Actress in a Play (Erin Noel Grennan).

The premiere received a total of seven nominations, including three in acting categories and two for design.
